Overview
When we hand over your site, you receive a Website Owner’s Manual: a single, plain-language document that captures everything you need to run your site with confidence. It is generated specifically for your site and your plan, and it is yours to keep.
Think of it as the “everything in one place” reference: how to log in, what runs on your site, who is responsible for what, and where to get help.
What the Manual Contains
The manual is organised into ten sections:
| Section | What it covers |
|---|---|
| 1. Your Xponent Plan | Your plan tier, monthly price, uptime guarantee, support response time, and backup schedule |
| 2. Technical Details | Website address, login URL, password reset link, hosting provider, server IP, domain registrar, DNS, email, CDN, CMS, theme, and page builder |
| 3. Software Included | The licensed plugins included with your plan (you never buy or renew these) |
| 4. Bring Your Own Licence (BYOL) | Plugins that run under a licence you hold, and what happens if one lapses |
| 5. Maintenance Schedule | What we handle daily, weekly, monthly, and annually |
| 6. Who Does What | The owner and contact for software updates, server, security, backups, support, and billing |
| 7. Troubleshooting | Common problems and what to do (or who to contact) for each |
| 8. Communication & Updates | Your client dashboard, newsletter, and support contact |
| 9. Resources | Links to the Knowledge Base, training portal, and The Xponent Stack |
| 10. Legal & Compliance | Terms, Privacy Policy, POPIA, and your site’s tracking status |
When You Receive It
Your manual is generated at launch and handed over with your site. We can regenerate it whenever your site or plan changes: for example, after an upgrade, a new plugin, or a change in who manages the site.
A Note on Accuracy
The manual is a snapshot of your site and plan at the time it was generated. If something has changed since (a new domain, a plan upgrade, a new contact), ask us to regenerate it so the document stays current.
