Overview #
Your domain (e.g., yoursite.co.za) is controlled by a DNS provider (usually where you bought it). To connect it to your Xponent site, you point it at our infrastructure. This article explains the options and what we need from you.

What We Need From You #
- Registrar login access (or a willingness to make the change yourself with our instructions)
- Your domain name
- Confirmation of where you want to point it (main site, subdomain, etc.)
What Happens After #
- SSL: once DNS points to us, we issue your certificate (see SSL & HTTPS).
- Propagation: DNS changes can take up to 24-48 hours worldwide, though usually much faster.
- Email: if you use email on that domain, we coordinate MX records so email isn’t disrupted.
The Xponent Standard #
- We provide exact nameserver/record values: no guesswork.
- We verify propagation and confirm the site + SSL are live before closing the ticket.
- Domain expiry is monitored so you’re never caught with an expired domain.
