Overview #

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encrypts the connection between your visitors and your site (the padlock in the browser bar). All Xponent sites run HTTPS with auto-renewing certificates. There is nothing you need to do.

Common Situations #

Situation What happens
You add a domain/subdomain We issue a new certificate for it
You move DNS to Xponent Certificate is issued once DNS points to us
Certificate error appears Usually a DNS/hosting issue outside our node: contact support and we’ll diagnose

What You Should Do #

Nothing, day to day. If you ever see a browser “not secure” warning on your site, screenshot it and contact support: it’s almost always fixable in minutes, and we treat it as urgent since it affects visitor trust.

The Xponent Standard #

  • Auto-installed: every site gets an SSL certificate at provisioning.
  • Auto-renewed: certificates renew before expiry; you’ll never see a “not secure” warning caused by expiry.
  • Auto-redirect: HTTP traffic redirects to HTTPS, so visitors always land on the secure version.
