Overview #
Fluent Support is a self-hosted helpdesk that lives inside your WordPress site. It turns your support email into a tracked ticket system with a shared inbox, agent assignments, and customer history. Xponent uses Fluent Support for its own support desk, so this is a tool we know from first-hand daily use, not just from the docs.
If your business answers client questions, Fluent Support gives your team a proper helpdesk without paying for a separate SaaS tool: your tickets, customers, and history all live on your own site.
What It Does #
- A shared inbox: every support email becomes a ticket your whole team can see, not a private mailbox.
- Priority & assignment: tickets get a status and are assigned to the right agent.
- Customer context: each customer’s past tickets and site details sit alongside the current one.
- Self-service options: a form on your site feeds tickets straight in, so clients don’t have to hunt for an email address.
Setting Up Your Support Desk #
Xponent configures Fluent Support to the standard we run ourselves. A typical setup:
- Add the plugin: Fluent Support runs inside your WordPress admin (like FluentCRM and Fluent Forms).
- Set your support inbox: choose the email address clients use to reach you; that inbox feeds tickets.
- Add a ticket form: place a “Contact support” form on your site so requests land directly in the ticket system.
- Configure agents & priority: assign your team members, set who handles what, and flag urgent requests.
- Turn on email notifications: agents and customers get updates as a ticket moves through.
What You Can Build (examples) #
Fluent Support scales from one person to a whole team. A few setups we configure:
- A simple contact-support desk: a “Contact Support” form on your site plus one shared inbox, so enquiries become tracked tickets instead of lost emails.
- A multi-agent helpdesk: several team members with assigned roles and a shared queue, so nothing slips and clients always get a reply.
- An internal fix tracker: log issues you find on your own site as tickets and track them to resolution, the same way we track our own.
Have Us Do It #
We run our own support desk on Fluent Support, so we set it up properly for yours: the inbox, ticket form, agents, and notifications configured to the standard we use every day. Tell us who needs to receive and reply to tickets, and we’ll have your helpdesk running on your site.
The Xponent Standard #
| Practice | Why |
|---|---|
| Self-hosted | Your tickets and customer data stay on your site, not a third-party platform |
| One inbox | Every channel (email, site form) lands in the same ticket queue |
| Proven by us | Xponent runs its own support on Fluent Support, so we config it from lived experience |
| Shared queue | Your whole team can see and pick up tickets, so nothing slips |
